Download Message Mystery Solved
I think I have discovered the source of the mysterious download message. I was afraid it was spyware/adware. I am pretty sure it wasn't
Spyware/adware is not all bad, most of it just keeps track of where you go and where you've been. The gator program is a type of adware, in exchange for info on where you go, it fills in forms for you. (No free Lunch) Gator is pretty benign but the BAD spyware/ adware can do nasty things like record everything you type in your computer. I just don't like stuff on my computer that I didn't put there.
If I have really scared you with this little tail of horror, don't worry I will tell you how to protect yourself against the bad guys.
Consumer Information Security - Federal Trade Commission This is a nice little site from the government on Internet Security.
I also recommend that you search for security tips at sites like, TechTV , Cnet or PC Magazine.
I found this little page, this guy makes some sense. He gives you some tips on getting rid of some of the bogeymen that live on the net. Sorry, Garlic won't work in this case.

Download message
A download window is appearing each time, I access pages on the web site. I have an idea where it is coming from, am investigating it now. I really don't think it is a virus. Until I get this cleared up please don't download the file.
It is a good practice to never download anything from the internet unless you know what you are getting and that it is from someone you trust. This file did not come from me, so even if you trust me, don't trust the file.

Polley declines Calloway offer for December bout
By SCOTT DOCHTERMAN
scottd@npgco.com
Rob Calloway's latest attempt to land local heavyweight Byron Polley in a 10-round bout has failed, according to Polley.s trainer Earl Walker.
"We're not going to fight him,"Walker said Tuesday. "We need a couple more fights. It's not a money issue with Byron; he likes to box."
Walker said Polley would like to fight Calloway sometime next year but doesn?t have the experience to contend with Calloway at this time.
Although the Calloway camp did not return calls, Calloway promoter Jason Redmond did issue a press release about the fight proposal. The fight would take place on Dec. 27 at Civic Arena. Originally, Calloway offered Polley $1,500 to fight, plus $5,000 if the fight goes the distance. If Polley beat Calloway, his purse would increase to $10,000.
On Tuesday, Calloway?s camp, according to the press release, offered Polley $10,000 for the fight, $5,000 additionally if the fight goes the distance and $20,000 total if Polley beat Calloway.
The press release also indicated that Polley has until noon today to accept the bout before Calloway would find another opponent.
Walker said Polley will fight on a Dec. 8 card in Kansas City promoted by former St. Joseph resident Craig Cummings. Walker added that Polley might also fight in Denmark in December.
Polley (12-5) formerly fought on Calloway?s undercard bouts but has since joined with Walker. He hasn?t fought on a bout promoted by Calloway since June.
Calloway (49-4-1) recently defended his WBF intercontinental heavyweight title with a 12-round unanimous decision over Julius Long last month"

Byron “Baby Bear” Polley Your turn
This is a Missouri Boxing NEWS site, I don't know Mr Calloway or Mr Polley, but a 10k or 20k fight is Missouri is "Big Missouri Boxing News".
I try to keep it unbiased, I publish All American Promotions Press Releases mostly unedited.
I will post any comments from Mr Polley, with the same consideration. Was that subtle enough or must I beg?

Christmas Comes Early!
St. Joseph, Missouri, October 29, 2003 - All-American Promotions earlier this week offered Byron “Baby Bear” Polley the following:
An opportunity to earn a $10,000 fight purse. Byron has the opportunity to box Rob Calloway on December 27th.
See Oct 27 post for Details
Byron Polley turned down this offer saying that is was not enough money.
However in a meeting with All-American Promotions on Monday Polley said, “I don’t fight for the money, I fight because I like it and that’s what I want to do.”
Polley has also stated in a public posting on www.robcalloway.com, “As far as this fight with Rob goes, you got yourself a go for $10,000 not $1,500…”, “I have become a lot better, and there for you have no clue what is in store for you when we step into the ring when that time comes.”, “Get your thinking up, then we can get it on.”
In consideration of this, even though All-American Promotions knows that the original offer was more than fair, we have this to offer.
20K Fight Proposal
All-American Promotions is now offering the following to Polley:
1) $10,000 ticket purse for the 10 round bout.
2) If the bout goes the distance (even if Polley loses every round) Polley will earn an extra $5,000 cash for a total purse of $15,000.
3) If Polley wins the bout he would earn an extra $10,000 cash for a total fight purse of $20,000.

Some Changes to Site Access
Some Butthead deleted several of the boxer's stats.
I'll have to change some of my policies. First of all, I guess I'll have to restrict the ability to delete and change stats. You will now need a password to update stats. You can still add new Boxers without a password. To get a password email me.
